BUSY!!!!

Graham and Bridget did arrive! We had a fantastic time - picnic, golf, Nina's, Christening, family fun, more Nina's, Garf's, CCC. I am so happy we could spend six days together. I can't wait for the next visit.

I've also been busy with Molly, Anna, and Noah - swimming lessons, Nina's, Garf's, shopping, eye doctor, Hoppie's, reading books.

This past weekend, JayC., Erin, and Jude came for a visit. We had so much fun on Sat. Sunday, the whole family celebrated Jay's birthday with a trip to the zoo and dinner at Coleman's. The girls and Noah went to Sissy's Soire while the boys and Anna stayed at Coleman's! Just a fun, wonderful, happy day.

It doesn't sound like much, but the past 2 1/2 weeks have been crammed with lots and lots! I think I need a vacation!!!

G and B arrive tomorrow

I am so excited! My niece and nephew from Florida arrive tomorrow for a visit. They are such great people and we enjoy them so much. There's a picnic tomorrow night, golf and dinner at the favorite local Italian restaurant on Friday, Noah's Christening on Sat., golf for boys and pool party for girls on Sunday. This will probably be the highlight of my summer!

You don't think you'll get caught???

The mayor of a little town near us was the financial manager of a small dog food company. She used the company credit card to buy a truck, an ATV, a cruise and tickets for her August vacation to St. Lucia - total about $45,000.

DUH - she got arrested.

How do people think they can get away with it? Eventually they will be caught. Didn't she learn from Bernie?

Whew!

It seems like the last four weeks have been non-stop. Today Jay played in a golf tournament, so I had a day to myself!! I had lots of big plans, but quickly put them aside. I caught up on my free digital downloads, organized my Storybook downloads, and made Father's Day cards. It doesn't sound like I accomplished much, but I've wanted to do these things for a long time so I feel good.

Jay's Father's Day card (scraplifted) is a 'wallet'. The inside has 3 slots on each side for pictures. I made wallet size photos of his favorite people and put them in the slots. On the bottom space I wrote: A father and Papa puts pictures where his money used to be. He will love it!

Cones and Sprinkles

Anna came to visit last Thursday. She knows her way around very well! We heard her open the pantry door. She came into the tv room carrying a box of ice cream cones and a can of icing with sprinkles on the lid. She said, "Where's the ice cream?"

Happy Saturday

Lazy day. It was pouring this morning, so it put me in a 'movie' mood. I still haven't gotten to the television, though. We're adding another shelf unit to my scrap room so I can have more table space and will be able to scrap when I please! I also have to do the dust/vacuum thing as Molly, Dave, Anna, Noah, and my Mom are coming tomorrow for a Mother's Day lunch.

Seasons

I love the change of seasons.

It's spring now and the wonder of all the growth is so amazing. The trees are full of leaves and there are flowers everywhere. It's fresh and revitalizing.

Summer is marvelous, of course, with sun and warmth and all that goes with it.

Fall is a peaceful time. Things seem to slow down and is restful. There is so much color to admire and enjoy.

Winter can be difficult, but I really do like it. There is a coziness in winter. It's a time to cuddle with a good book or movie and know you can be warm inside while it's bitter outside!

People complain about some of the seasons and look for something better. But I am very content to enjoy the wonderful changes we experience in central NY.

MacDonald's

I know it's not where we should be eating, so don't start!!

Last week we took Anna out for an adventure by herself with Papa and Grandmama. We asked her where she wanted to eat lunch. She chose MacDonald's. Of course we were good grandparents and got her milk to drink. Jay got a milkshake. He asked if she wanted a sip. She sucked on it for quite a while. Then she said, "I'll keep this. You have mine." And she moved her milk down the table to his spot. She knows what she wants and how to get it!!

So lazy

Shame on me for never posting. I spend enough time on the computer. I just don't hop over here. Need to do better. It's either here or pen and paper. I have to write down our wonderful adventures!
